QA/QC Engineer

Job Summary: The QA/QC Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) design projects. This role involves overseeing the implementation of quality assurance and quality control processes, conducting inspections, and ensuring that all MEP systems meet the required standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement QA/QC procedures and standards for MEP design projects.

• Conduct regular inspections and audits of MEP systems to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

• Review and approve MEP design documents, drawings, and specifications.

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve quality issues and ensure timely completion of projects.

• Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, test plans, and quality records.

• Monitor and report on the quality performance of MEP systems and recommend corrective actions as needed.

• Ensure that all materials and equipment used in MEP systems meet the required quality standards.

• Conduct training sessions for project teams on QA/QC procedures and best practices.

• Stay updated with the latest industry standards, codes, and regulations related to MEP systems.

• Utilize AutoCAD to review detailed design drawings for MEP systems.

• Ensure that AutoCAD drawings adhere to project specifications and quality standards.

• Maintain and update AutoCAD files and documentation for all MEP projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.

• Minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience in QA/QC for MEP design projects.

• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, standards, and regulations.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in QA/QC software and tools.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

SENIOR DESIGN ENGINEER – ELECTRICAL

JOB LOCATION: BENGALURU

BUSINESS STREAM: MEP

ROLE SUMMARY:

This exciting opportunity to work through our Bengaluru office. You will apply your electrical design knowledge on project work from conceptual design through completion in the following areas: commercial, residential, retail, institutional, industrial, healthcare buildings. Technical quality, cost effectiveness, building and maintaining client relationships, and providing guidance to a team of designers are integral parts of this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Electrical design of power distribution, control, communication, lighting for commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare buildings

• Knowledge on designing Internal lighting systems, power systems, ups systems etc.

• Preparation of Lighting, Earthing, Power & Cable Tray Layouts

• Knowledge on Electrical short circuit, voltage drop, lighting and other electrical calculations etc

• Manage major aspects of the electrical design of projects.

• Prepare and participate in design reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Electrical Engineering Degree from an accredited institution

• Ability to work with a minimum of instructions and complete tasks independently

• Focus on electrical systems for buildings including power distribution, lighting, life safety and communications

• Working knowledge of NBC, IS standards

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of programs
